The LBC experiences were introduced in November 2023 with the intent to deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned Learning Beyond the Curriculum (LBC) experiences that promote cultural capital, physical wellbeing and career readiness for all students in Years 7–10 and 12.

Each year group participates in three LBC trips annually (one per term), focusing on three strands: Healthy Active Lifestyles, Cultural Enrichment and Business and Enterprise. Guest speakers and workshops are regularly integrated alongside the LBC experiences, covering topics such as knife crime awareness, fear of missing out (FOMO), diversity and road safety. The programme continues to evolve, with an increase  on other trips outside of the LBC days, including the launch of the international ski trip to Austria in Easter 2025 where 40 students from Years 8–10 and 12 attended, creating lifelong friendships and memories.

The LBC experiences have been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from staff, students and parents, with many members of the public also contacting the school to praise the professionalism and conduct of our students. Student surveys show that at least 85% of participants believe these experiences have enhanced their learning, contributing significantly to their personal growth and cultural understanding.
